As an Air Force spouse and real estate investor, I’ve been in both positions many times and love sharing those moments with others. I felt the first “sparks” when I was just 6 years old, riding in the backseat of a realtor’s car and helping my parents search for the perfect 4-bedroom house. By the time I was 12, I had become an amateur appraiser — cruising neighborhoods with my dad, guessing how much the houses cost, and perusing the Dayton Daily to find the correct answers. As an adult, I gained much real estate experience through military moves to New Mexico, Arizona, Virginia, and Alabama. I also fed my passion by purchasing rental properties and “flip” homes to supplement our family income. After building five new homes, coordinating six FSBO (For Sale By Owner) sales, and managing multiple rental properties, I decided to turn my avocation into my profession in 2009.
Since then, I’ve built a very successful real estate business — selling well over $280,000,000 in homes and assisting hundreds of families! I believe everything I did in the past prepared me for this path. My B.S. in Mass Communication from Miami University gave me a strong foundation. Throughout my careers as a technical editor and computer-based training programmer/designer, I refined my writing, videography, visual design, research, and computer skills — all of which give me a definite edge in marketing properties.
